IXCHIRO officially launches ‘Daehan Dolbom’, an AI senior integrated care platform

IXCHIRO (CEO Lee Hyun), an all-generation care startup, announced that it has officially launched ‘Daehan Dolbom’, an integrated care platform combining AI-based long-term care grade prediction with professional care services.

‘Daehan Dolbom’ is a platform developed to use technology to resolve the severe information asymmetry and complex administrative procedures faced by guardians caring for elderly parents, and to reinvent the supplier-centered, one-size-fits-all care market around consumers (beneficiaries). With this launch, IXCHIRO laid out a blueprint to build an integrated care network spanning the entire life cycle, starting with the long-term elder care market.

The platform’s core feature, ‘AI care-grade self-diagnosis’, applies an algorithm trained on the assessment criteria and data of the National Health Insurance Service. Without submitting any documents, users can check a parent’s expected grade and assessment probability on a smartphone in one minute, and it instantly calculates the corresponding maximum monthly government subsidy and out-of-pocket cost. It also carries a ‘personalized subsidy finder’ that surfaces easily missed welfare benefits at once, maximizing convenience for guardians.

What sets Daehan Dolbom apart is its focus on ‘quality of care’, unlike existing platforms that stopped at simple ‘matching’. At its center is the ‘oral habit management manual’ embodying CEO Lee Hyun’s 11 years of clinical experience.

For the past six years, Lee has led the ‘Kkuljam Prevention Team’, seeking out medical blind spots ranging from non-regular workers to isolated and reclusive youth and people with mental disabilities preparing to return to their communities, and has folded the field data accumulated through oral preventive-care volunteering into the service. Through this, home-visit care goes beyond simple housekeeping support and conventional daily living care to provide professional hygiene management and mastication (chewing) training tailored to each senior’s oral condition. This is credited with extending care services into healthcare — helping prevent ‘aspiration pneumonia’, among the leading causes of death in older adults, and slowing the progression of dementia.

In recognition of this social value and technological capability, IXCHIRO successfully graduated from the social venture track of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Pre-Startup Package in 2024, and is now based at the Songpa ICT Youth Startup Support Center, accelerating platform development through technology collaboration with DX (digital transformation) company IXC.

Lee Hyun, CEO of IXCHIRO, said, “In countless clinical settings I witnessed how quickly a senior’s overall health and quality of life deteriorate when oral health breaks down,” adding, “Daehan Dolbom will be a partner that lowers the threshold of care with ‘technology (AI)’ and protects the essence of care with ‘expertise (oral care)’.”

Lee added, “This platform launch is only the beginning,” and shared the ambition: “Starting from the establishment of a directly run home-care welfare center in Chuncheon, Gangwon, in December, we will build quality care infrastructure connecting online and offline, and through B2G cooperation with local governments weave a tightly knit social safety net across the entire life cycle.”
