01Overview

Service overview

OneSignal Onboarding is a build service that runs from OneSignal SDK integration and channel setup through key-campaign build and handover. OneSignal is easy to install, but adoption stalls after the install, not during it. Until you decide what data to collect and which campaign to run first, the dashboard stays empty. So during onboarding we build the one or two backbone campaigns with you, and hand over in a state where the next campaign is built the same way.

03What we deliver

Scope of delivery

01

SDK integration and channel setup

Mobile and web SDK integration, push certificates, the email domain, and in-app message settings are put in place. With the sending foundation of every channel settled once, later campaigns repeat none of the setup.

02

Key-campaign build

The one or two backbone campaigns, such as onboarding and re-engagement, are actually set up through segments, triggers, and the A/B test frame. A campaign that has passed live sends and error checks remains as the reference point for expansion.

03

Operations training and handover

Operations are handed over through feature training at marketer level and a campaign duplication guide. Defining the data the next scenario needs yourselves is what reduces the outside dependency.

How the service works

From channel setup to campaigns and handover

Connect the SDK and channels, verify key campaigns and hand over an operating setup the internal team can continue.

How the service works
  1. Connect the SDK and configure channels

  2. Build and verify key campaigns

  3. Train the team and hand over

04Why this way

Points of difference

Each point lists the deliverable that backs it.

We finish one or two backbone campaigns end to end

The goal of onboarding is not a campaign count. Within a fixed period, finishing the one or two most fundamental key campaigns all the way from data collection to send verification leaves you with more. Swap the segments and triggers inside the same frame and the next campaign appears, so the handover document doubles as the expansion plan.

We write the data in the engineering team's language

Where onboarding stops is data ownership. When the segments marketing wants and the data engineering will hand over diverge, the schedule drifts. IXC is a partner with its own engineering organization. What has to ship in this app update is written in engineering's own terms and fixed against the release date. Marketing sees the campaigns that data runs today.

09FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Permission to issue push certificates through the app stores, DNS control over the email domain, and a release slot for the app update that carries the SDK. On the marketing side, deciding which key campaign runs first is enough — segments and triggers are settled together during setup.

  • Under the OneSignal announcement, existing accounts need a paid plan for mobile push and in-app messages from October 1, 2026 once they exceed 1,000 MAU. Web push and email stay free, and IXC reviews the transition quote and plan selection with you.

  • OneSignal is a customer engagement platform used, by its own published figures, by one in four global app publishers. IXC supports adoption and operations in Korea for commerce, media, and gaming.

  • It splits into the OneSignal licence and the IXC service fee. The licence is usage-based on MAU, and the service fee is quoted per project or as a monthly subscription depending on scope. Send us an inquiry and we will follow up with a detailed quote.

  • We begin with campaign history, customer-data structure, and channel status. A baseline is prepared within two weeks of kickoff, then one or two key campaigns aligned with KPIs and their required data collection are finalized during design.

  • We review performance together for four weeks after handover. Results inform the performance report and priorities for campaigns to expand in the following quarter, recorded in an expansion backlog for the internal team.

  • We share the findings from the first stage, then agree scope and schedule on that basis before delivery. A finished request for proposal is not required: the current environment and the outcome you want are enough to start.

Reliability & Observability

Why customers see no notification even when push sending succeeds

Diagnose missing push notifications by separating request acceptance, audience and queue, provider acceptance, device receipt, display and interaction. A server success does not establish device receipt or display; investigate from the last verified stage.
